SKU: 07123Okada Panel Saw Dozuki 240 mm, Japanese Pull Saw
This Japanese single-sided Dozuki saw from Okada offers excellent cutting performance in both wet and dry wood. Dozuki saws have extremely thin blades and are ideally suited for finer sawing work. This model is designed for cutting hardwoods such as ebony, mahogany, walnut, and oak. It is especially useful for making precise cuts, such as for a molding or dovetail joint. Dozuki means "jointed trunk," meaning that the saw blade is reinforced at the spine. This reinforcement makes the saw more stable. The disadvantage of this back strip is the limitation of the cutting depth. However, for making precise cuts in fairly thick wood, it won't be a problem. The back reinforcement ensures that the extremely thin saw blade (>0.30 mm) is supported. Because of the back reinforcement, the cutting depth is therefore limited to the height of the saw blade. The raked teeth prevent jamming and reduce cutting power. Perfect for use as a saw for finer work.
Thanks to the reinforced spine, the saw blade remains straight and cuts extremely precisely, both lengthwise and across the grain. The longer blade also provides a larger stroke, allowing you to work faster and cut up to 50 mm deep. Suitable for almost all types of wood, including European and tropical solid wood.
The blade is easy to change using the practical hook system.
The saw blade is removable.
