Takeshi Saji Rainbow Damascus Petty
Description:
This handcrafted Petty knife features a core of premium Japanese Aogami #2 (Blue Paper Steel), clad with two layers of non-stainless Damascus steel, enhanced with layers of copper and brass for a distinctive rainbow pattern. The blade is mirror-polished to highlight its stunning layered structure.
Each knife is entirely hand-forged by Master Takeshi Saji (born 1949), a world-renowned blacksmith celebrated for his robust, high-quality hunting knives, whose kitchen knives follow the same artisanal philosophy and rugged aesthetic. The craftsmanship of these knives is exceptionally high, with a handle made from red-brown Desert Ironwood, providing excellent durability and a warm, comfortable grip.
These knives are rare collector’s items, crafted by one of Japan’s most respected smiths, and are considered among the most visually striking knives available. Each knife is delivered in a handmade Japanese wooden box crafted from Kiri (Paulownia) wood, underscoring its exclusivity.
