Takeshi Saji R2/SG2 Tsuchime Santoku Burma Padauk burl (universal knife), 180 mm
Takeshi Saji R2
Blade of stainless Japanese R2 / SG2 steel with two layers of softer stainless steel for the outside. This knife is completely hand-forged by the famous master blacksmith Takeshi Saji (1949). Saji-san is best known for its hunting knives and these kitchen knives are made in the same style. The finish is particularly high and the handle is made from Burma Padauk burl from Myanmar. These knives are very special collectibles made by a world famous master smith. These knives are perhaps one of the most beautiful knives in the world. The knives come in a black cardboard Japanese box.
A santoku (literally "three virtues") is a double-edged knife that is primarily intended for cutting meat, fish and vegetables (the three virtues). Due to the high blade, it is also very suitable for embossing. A perfect all-round knife.
