Hand-forged damascus steel with a "ladder" pattern. Each piece is unique! The piece is made of VG-10 as core steel and a softer rust-resistant layer on the outside which is forged in a beautiful "ladder" pattern (damascus steel).
- Rockwell hardness of 60-61.

The steel is supplied rough and uncut, without forging. The steel is already hardened! grinding can therefore only be done on water stones or water cooled belt-grinder or the steel can be tempered again by heating it to 800 degrees and allowing it to cool in the air (or rather in ashes or wood chips). after processing the steel can be hardened again. It is recommended not to repeat this process too often as unwanted processes may then develop in the crystal structure of the steel.
