The horn of cattle can be used as such, after some processing, as material for wind instruments, drinking cups or storage vessels. The processing of horn as material is known from prehistoric times. Horn can be worked like wood. You can saw it, grate it and so on. As a result, it can be processed into all kinds of small objects, such as hair combs, handles and knife heads, needles and stems, buttons, spoons, pipes, spectacle frames, dice and jewelry.
The water buffalo or karbouw (karbauw) (Bubalus arnee bubalis) is a mammal from the family of the horned horns (Bovidae). The scientific name of this beef was published as Carl binnalis in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus. [1] It is the domestic subspecies of the wild water buffalo (Bubalus arnee). If the water buffalo, as here, is understood as the domesticated form of the wild water buffalo, then the species name Bubalus arnee must be used according to ICZN Opinion 2027, and bubalis is the name of the subspecies. Karbouw is the name for domestic water buffalo.
