Hand-forged damascus steel with a "ladder" pattern. Every piece is unique! The piece is made of VG-10 as the core steel and a softer rust-resistant layer on the outside with a Damascus pattern
- Rockwell hardness 60-61.
- Dimensions: 250 mm x 35 mm x 4 mm
- The steel is supplied rough and uncut, without forging skin.
The steel is already hardened! grinding can only be done on water stones or the steel can be tempered again by heating it to 800 degrees C and allowing it to cool in the air (or rather in ash or wood chips). After processing, the steel can be hardened again. It is recommended that you do not repeat this process too often, as unwanted processes may arise in the crystal structure of the steel.
