Make your Japanese kitchen knife truly unique with a personalised laser engraving. We can engrave a name, initials, special date, personal message or company logo directly onto the blade.
A personalised knife makes a wonderful gift for a birthday, wedding, anniversary or graduation, but is equally suitable for professional chefs who want their name on their knives or companies looking for a distinctive business gift.
Laser engraving
The engraving is applied to the surface of the steel using a high-precision laser. This creates a permanent and precise marking without affecting the sharpness, hardness or performance of the blade.
Immediately after engraving, the marking is usually dark grey to black. Depending on the type of steel, blade finish and use of the knife, the engraving may gradually become lighter or more grey over time. Slight variations in colour and contrast are therefore normal and make every engraving unique.

For the best result, we recommend keeping designs relatively simple. Very fine lines or highly detailed logos may need to be simplified before engraving.
How to order your engraving
After placing your order, please send us the text, logo or image you would like to have engraved by e-mail. Please include your order or invoice number and the product number(s) of the knife or knives to be engraved.
For logos and artwork, a high-quality file is preferred. Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG or PDF generally provide the best engraving result.
For text engraving, please specify your preferred font, size and positioning if you have particular requirements. If no specific instructions are provided, we will choose a size and position that we believe best suits the shape and proportions of the blade.

We engrave the text supplied with your order, so please check all names, dates and spelling carefully before submitting your engraving instructions.
Because an engraved knife is made specifically for you, personalised products cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of a product defect or an error on our part.
Processing time
Laser engraving requires some additional preparation and processing. Please allow up to one additional week before your order is shipped.
