Seki Kikusui SG2 Damascus Santoku 180 mm (universal knife)
Seki Kikusui SG2 Damascus Santoku 180 mm
An exceptional Japanese Santoku knife from Seki, crafted from premium SG2 powder steel and featuring a beautifully hammered Damascus blade.
This Seki Kikusui Santoku comes from an older series of Japanese kitchen knives that has become increasingly difficult to find. The series is now sold under the name Ono Suzukaze.
The knife is brand new and unused, and comes in its original luxury gift box with blue satin lining.
The blade features a core of premium Japanese SG2 (R2) powder steel. This steel is renowned for its high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and exceptional edge retention. Thanks to its fine and homogeneous steel structure, the blade can be sharpened to an exceptionally fine edge.
The core is surrounded by multiple layers of stainless Damascus steel, featuring a distinctive hammered pattern (Tsuchime). This gives the knife its characteristic appearance. The combination of the Damascus pattern and beautiful finish makes each knife particularly striking.
The ergonomically shaped handle is made from multicoloured laminated pakkawood and features a metal bolster and end cap. This gives the knife a luxurious appearance while ensuring a comfortable grip.
The Santoku is a traditional Japanese kitchen knife, perfectly suited for cutting vegetables, meat, and fish. With its 180 mm blade, it is a versatile knife for everyday use.
