Unique in the Netherlands! Direct from Japan. Shirogami #2 White Paper carbon steel. The steel is made of Shirogami as the core steel with a softer, non-rust-resistant outer layer. Unhardened.
The Rockwell hardness of the core steel (after water hardening) is 62-64, and of the outer layer is 30-40 HRc.
The steel is supplied black, with a forged skin. The steel is unhardened and requires further processing (forging to the desired shape or stock removal).
