Olive wood, valued for centuries
Beautiful tapas boards, fields full of olive trees, a scorching sun... who doesn't enjoy olive wood?
The olive wood comes from old, southern Italian olive groves. The branches are often used to produce sawn timber. The trees are pruned as soon as the production of olives decreases. Olive trees from this region can grow to a height of ten to fifteen metres, because the conditions in this part of Italy are favourable: fertile soils with relatively high rainfall.
The quality of olive wood varies enormously due to the tangled growth. The trunks are often irregularly shaped.

Everyone knows olive wood as tourist craft items, handles and cutting boards. Veneer is also made from it and this is used for inlay, turning and carving.

  • Natural wood, not stabilised, not coloured.
  • The types of wood offered here are well dried.
  • set of 2 scale parts: 125 x 30 x 20 mm
