Iroko Wood

Iroko (Milicia excelsa) has a beautiful golden brown to golden brown color and can resemble teak. It is therefore used as a teak substitute. Beautiful grain patterns often develop in the wood due to wavy grain.

The wood can have internal tension, causing it to warp during sawing. Once processed and dried, the wood is fairly stable and easy to work. Good dust extraction is necessary, as the ingredients can cause irritation in sensitive individuals.

Iroko is a stable and strong wood and can be used for many purposes, both indoors and outdoors. It is also widely used in shipbuilding as a teak substitute.
