This Japanese chef's knife has a core of rust-resistant Japanese VG-10 with an outer layer of rust-resistant damask steel (patterned steel). VG-10 steel is one of the most used types of steel in Japanese kitchen knives. The steel is characterized by high hardness and high toughness without the steel being brittle. This steel is perfect for regular use in the kitchen and is easy to sharpen. This double-sided sharpened knife is equipped with a very beautiful hammered pattern. This knife is completely forged by hand by master smith Yu Kurosaki and is unique in its kind. The blade is very thin and sharpened manually and has no thickening, which makes grinding very easy.
