These Kenmizaki Satomi knives manufactured in Japan have a very good price/quality ratio. The blade of this knife is made of laminated rust resistant Japanese High-Carbon Molybdenum Vanadium steel. The core is made of a softer steel type. The handle is made out of Japanese untreated Honoki wood. This thick Deba blade is suitable for the heavier jobs in the kitchen such as cleaving bone and preparing meat and fish. The blade is single-sided.
