Baishinshi Kunimitsu Washikiri
A small but razor-sharp and knife of traditional Japanese steel. This type of knife is used in Japan for wood carving and as a hobby knife. This knife has a core of Japanese Aogami # 2 Blue paper carbon steel. Equipped with a layer of softer iron for protection (Sanmai forged), This knife is sharpened on one side so that this knife has an even finer cut. This knife is equipped with a traditional rattan winding. This knife is manually forged and sharpened in the small Baishinshi forge (梅心子 國 光) in Sanjo. This family has been forging Japanese knives and tools for over 250 years, the current blacksmith is Umeda Kunimitsu (7th generation) .
