This Japanese Higonokami knife has a core of Japanese Aogami # 1 "Blue paper" carbon steel (non-stainless). This double-sided sharpened knife is completely forged by hand by the only master blacksmith who is allowed to make Higonokami knives (Motosuke Nagao). The blade is sturdy and manually sharpened and is very easy to sharpen yourself. This is the version with a steel handle with a special water drop effect. The water droplets are just like the real thing and are made of a soft silicone resin. This gives this knife a very good grip.

This knife can be ordered in 2 different colors (black and light brown / pink). You can select the correct color during your ordering process. Note that the stated length is measured including the Chikiri (lever), the cutting length of the blade with a 100mm Higonokami is approximately 75mm. This is measured in the traditional Japanese way.
