Anryu Suminagashi Santoku, 165 cm 

This Japanese Santoku knife has a core of Japanese Shirogami #2 carbon steel with a damascus layer on the outside. This double-sided sharpened knife features a black ( Kurochi ) coating. This knife is completely hand-forged by the sucessor of Katsushige Anryu, Ikeda-san.  The blade is very thin, manually sharpened and finished and does not have bulges which makes sharpening on a flat whetstone very easy.

  • Steel: core: Japanese Shirogami #2 steel " White paper steel" (non- stainless ) with two layers Damascus steel and black Kurochi protective layer.

Like all Japanese knives the handmade knives of Katsushige Anryu are not dishwasher safe, cleaning after each use and dry is the best treatment for these exclusive products.
